Brilliant designer showcase at the Durban Exhibition Centre this July

The 2017 ECR House & Garden Show introduces a fresh partnership with KAPOW, the design and décor industry’s independent networking organization.

Headed by Interior designers Jennifer Jones and Caron Mitchell, KAPOW aims to tackle the misconception that interior design and decorating is not accessible to the everyday home owner.

Central to the project at this year’s ECR House & Garden Show is the KAPOW Designer Café presented by Dulux, where invited decorators and interior designers each partner with fabric houses to create seven different cameo stands. Visitors will be inspired by KAPOW designers’ interpretation of the latest trends, alongside daily talks and launches of the season’s current fabric ranges.

“The idea that designers cost the home owner more than retail shopping is a myth,” said Jennifer Jones, interior designer and KAPOW committee chairperson. “By offering direct access to top designers, we’ll be connecting show visitors with extensive international and local products, not to mention the invaluable advice and input that a designer offers.”

Paint supply powerhouse Dulux are the presenting sponsor behind the KAPOW Designer Café, with their key trend colours creating the featured designers’ chief palette.

The KAPOW Designer Café presented by Dulux will also include flooring by Fin floor, which will be given away as a prize to one lucky visitor, plus numerous other giveaways.

“A big focus for the Show this year is to incorporate more interior décor and design,” said new Show director Cairey Baxter-Bruce. “We cannot wait to connect with our visitors in a whole new way!”
